iii.
my nose is bleeding again
for the third time this week
and                               childhood fears
                                    leak out
with polished memories

i.
a nine year-old boy
giving a dinner lecture on
the mummification process

the widening of the        nasal passage
the hook dragging
the
             pharaoh's
                                   brain
             unraveling
                                   emerging
his aunt
lost her
appetite

ii.
   at ten
             the boy
             is surprised
             to notice
his aunt
still uses silverware

iv.
at twenty-four i'm        wondering
                                  how strange it is
that i share the wish     to be
cremated like pop pop
who died last night       bleeding
into his brain when
it could barely              remember
anything

For whatever reason, what sticks out to me most is the decision to describe his brain--an "it"--as "barely remember[ing] / anything," instead of the more usual formation of "he" could barely remember. That "it" haunts me.

Also, with the picture above, I can't help but think how much King Tut's tomb reminds me of silverware. Is that weird?

love does find a way.
I realize this poem is a little old school for you... but what the hell.

How should I read this? the way it is written? or follow the numbers? and the formatting on the side seems to create a sentence too.
ahhhh! i'm all confused.
I love this, and i. especially

I feel dumb about not commenting properly, praps I shall. I still hold that you're one of the best poets on here (I may never have said that)
